Crew 1's Trip Journal

Crew 1 has been providing leadership experiences in the great outdoors since 2003. This trip journal contains highlights of some of our most memorable trips and activities. Activities are chosen and planned by our officers and members at our monthly meetings. New ideas are always welcome.

Activities vary from year-to-year, and usually include a mixture of hiking and backpacking, kayaking, biking, rock climbing, and other outdoor adventures. No experience is necessary. Our advisers will help make sure new members are prepared for each activity.

All of our activities are supervised by our team of adult advisers, and parents. We follow the BSA's safety and youth protection guidelines for all of our activities. Interersted in planning a trip? Talk to one of the officers.

For four days Crew 1 sailed the waters of Down-East Maine aboard the 150 year-old Schooner Stephen Taber. With meals cooked over a wood stove, and oil lamps for light, this was a trip back in time. Crew members helped crew the boat, raising sails, polishing brass, and helping in the galley.
